Library Offers Creative Writing Workshop for Kids

"Left of Write," a unique writing workshop for children ages 8 to 12, will be held from 4-5 p.m., Thursdays, Jan. 8 through 29, in the kidsZone Classroom of the Schaumburg Township District Library (STDL), 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. Participants will discover a new appreciation for multicultural books and learn how to craft a creative short story. Author and children's literature enthusiast Ranjini Rao will teach students various writing styles and techniques, including various forms of poetry and genres of writing."

Registration and an STDL card are required. Fee: $5. Register at the kidsZone Programs and Games Desk. For more information, call (847) 923-3439.
