Sedgebrook to Present Close Captioned Telephones

Sedgebrook will be hosting a presentation about CapTel captioned telephone on November 15th. CapTel by Ultatec is a telephone designed to facilitate conversation for individuals with hearing loss. The captioned telephone displays every word that the caller is saying, while the user can listen to the phone simultaneously.

“We’re always excited to introduce technology that will make every day activities easier. This is a wonderful device for people who have hearing loss. It helps them stay in touch with friends and loved ones, and is extremely easy to use,” said Joanne Kopper, Social Services Coordinator of Sedgebrook. “We’re looking forward to introducing this phone to people who can really benefit from its features.”

The phone is available free or at a reduced price to individuals with hearing loss. CapTel phones will be available for purchase at the event. The local CapTel representative will provide free delivery, installation and set-up so that every new CapTel user is entirely comfortable with the new service.

The CapTel presentation will be held at Sedgebrook, 800 Audubon Way in Lincolnshire on November 15 from 1-2 p.m. For additional information or to reserve a space at the presentation, call Joanne at 847-876-2397.
