Mundelein tunes up with regional win

At the Lake Zurich Class 4A girls volleyball regional Monday, No. 14 seed Mundelein rolled to a 25-18, 25-7 sweep over No. 19 Hoffman Estates, thanks in part to 4 kills apiece from Courtney Perreault and Ashley Dolin.

On defense, the two combined for 3 blocks while Dolin also finished with an astounding 8 service aces.

Lake Forest regional: No. 18 Lake Forest swept No. 16 St. Viator, 25-20, 25-18.

Grayslake North regional: After host Grayslake North eliminated Grant in the first match, No. 3 Zion-Benton swept No. 6 Round Lake, 25-16, 25-13.

Harvard regional: No. 4 Johnsburg def. No. 5 Harvard, 25-16, 25-7.

North Chicago regional: No. 4 Regina Dominican defeated No. 5 North Chicago, 25-6, 25-17 while No. 3 Vernon Hills defeated No. 6 Sullivan, 25-8, 25-11.
