• Burglars broke into a car on Grove Drive between 8:30 p.m. Sept. 25 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 26 and stole a radar detector.

• Burglars stole loose change, a GPS, radar detector, Bluetooth device and a wallet out of several unlocked vehicles on Chateau, Twisted Oak, Auburn and Thornapple between Sept. 26 and 27.

• Thieves stole a wallet after a woman left it on a table inside a fitness center on the 1500 block of Busch Parkway between noon and 3 p.m. Sept. 24.

• Thieves used a key to open a Redbox kiosk at 79 N. McHenry Road around 1 p.m. Sept. 25. Indiana State Police arrested them, reports added.

• Burglars ransacked a home on the 100 block of Manchester between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sept. 25. A loss was not reported.

• Burglars kicked open the front door at a home on Woodstone between 8:15 a.m. and 6:24 p.m. Sept. 25 and stole a computer from the kitchen table.

• Burglars broke into a vehicle and stole various power tools on the 1400 block of Johnson between Sept. 18 and 22.

• Burglars broke into a car in a lot at the Golf Dome, 801 N. McHenry Road, around 8:40 p.m. Sept. 18 and stole a purse. Someone used a credit card in the purse to make purchases at a local store estimated at $755.

• Burglars broke into a car in a fitness center lot, 601 W. Deerfield Parkway, between 8:10 and 10 p.m. Sept. 18 and stole a briefcase containing a laptop computer, wallet, credit cards and documents.

• Thieves stole a camcorder out of a guest's room at Extended Stay America, 1525 E. Busch Parkway, between Aug. 27 and Sept. 13. Value was estimated at $350.

Elk Grove Village

• Kevin D. Limper, 23, of the 1700 block of North Oznam, Chicago, was arrested around 12:55 a.m. Sept. 7 on the 1600 block of Oakton Street and charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Hs court date is Oct. 10.

• Albert M. Posluszny, 23, of the 500 block of Arlene Drive, Wood Dale, was arrested around 11:30 p.m. Sept. 15 on the 2900 block of Touhy Avenue and charged with obstructing a peace officer and possession of marijuana. His court date is Oct. 23.

• Elias Lopez, 19, of the 600 block of Carroll Square, Elk Grove Village, was arrested around 7:15 p.m. Sept. 5 on the 0-100 block of Woodcrest Lane and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. His court date is Oct. 3.

• Barbara Moderski, 43, of the 0-100 block of Eden Road, Elk Grove Village, and Crystal L. Anderson, 18, of the 900 block of Ridge Square, Elk Grove Village, were arrested around 6 p.m. Sept. 18 at 300 Elk Grove Blvd. and charged with fighting in public. Their court date is Oct. 3.

• Tristan A. Michela, 23, of the 1000 block of Crestwood Court, Elk Grove Village, was arrested around 9:35 p.m. Sept. 18 at 20 Biesterfield Road and charged with retail theft. His court date is Oct. 3.

• Thieves stole a 2006 Peterbilt 387 Sleeper semi-tractor out of a lot at 1000 Lee St. between 3 p.m. Sept. 8 and 10 a.m. Sept. 9. Value was estimated at $45,000.

• Burglars stole two desktop computers and a cart containing copper wire spools out of a warehouse at Y Two K Electronics, 2574 United Lane, around 12:30 a.m. Sept. 10. Loss was estimated at $9,250.

• Thieves stole an empty container from a lot at Port to Port Inc., 1201 Morse Ave., between Sept. 8 and 10. Value was estimated at $10,000.

• Thieves stole a 1999 Waco semitrailer out of a lot at Stanico Truck Repair, 901 Nicholas Blvd., between Sept. 14 and 17. Value was estimated at $7,000.

• Burglars pried the front door at a home on the 0-100 block of Wildwood Road between 3:40 and 8:45 p.m. Sept. 8 and stole a jewelry box with various pieces of jewelry. Value was estimated at $900.

• Thieves stole a purse out of a shopping cart while the female victim was loading groceries into her car in a store lot at 801 Meacham Road between 4:30 and 4:45 p.m. Sept. 8. Value was estimated at $365.

• Thieves stole the front end plastic grill from a 1991 Chevrolet tow tractor at Tidwell Roofing and Sheet Metal Co., 630 Bonnie Lane, between Sept. 7 and 10. Value was estimated at $500.

• Burglars forced open the front door at a home on the 200 block of Tower Lane between 4:15 p.m. Sept. 15 and 10:20 a.m. Sept. 16 and stole several pieces of jewelry and a jar of loose change. Loss was estimated at $1,440.

• Offenders damaged several soft drink machines at the Sheraton Suites Chicago, 121 Northwest Point Blvd., between 9 p.m. Sept. 15 and 10 a.m. Sept. 16. Apparently no money had been taken from the machines. Damage was estimated at $600.

• A shoplifter stole alcohol, Blu-ray and DVD movies and two backpacks from Dominick's, 980 Elk Grove Town Center, around 6:05 p.m. Sept. 16. Value was estimated at $471.


• Marlon A. Hernandez, 17, of the 400 block of East Streamwood Boulevard, Streamwood, was arrested around 1 p.m. Sept. 14 on the 800 block of Surrey and charged with felony residential burglary, possession of marijuana and probation violations. Gerardo Ramirez, 18, of the 100 block of Washington Avenue, Streamwood, was arrested at the same time on the 1100 block of Meadow Lane and charged with felony residential burglary.

• Burglars stole a camera bag with a camera, teleconverter, lens, battery grip, and flash out of an unlocked 2010 Dodge sedan at a home on the 300 block of East Streamwood Boulevard between 6 p.m. Sept. 12 and 6:30 a.m. Sept. 13. Value was estimated at $75.

• Burglars stole two laptop computers out of an unlocked home on the 700 block of Surrey Drive between 8:50 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Sept. 21.
