Dining events: Arrowhead serves up Oktoberfest faves

Arrowhead's German flavors

Now through Oct. 7, enjoy Oktoberfest favorites at Arrowhead Golf Club. Try German treats including Munich-style potato pancakes, known for their crispy exterior and melt-in-your-mouth interior, homemade spaetzle and sauerkraut, wurst and schweinsaxe or Thuringer and knackwurst and red cabbage.

Zak's new items

Give a warm welcome to the newbies at Zak's Place — fresh starters and entrees recently added to the menu. Starters include panko-crusted pork belly with sweet potato purée, orange and honey reduction with shredded jicama apple slaw for $11 or the grilled calamari salad for $12. Or try the new entree: crispy duck breast with wild rice and duck confit pilaf with green beans and black grape port wine sauce for $26.

Brews with the master

Dine with Emmett's beer and food gods at the autumn brewmaster dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4. Brewmaster Rob Hunter and a team of chefs will explain the evening's menu, which includes black truffle risotto, five-onion bisque, maple-roasted pork belly and brown sugar beignets paired with the brewery's Wee Heavy, Rye IPA, Oktoberfest and Dunkel Weizen. $59.95 per person. Reservations required.
