Dining events: Qdoba preview a fund-raiser for charity

Get a sneak peek of the new Qdoba opening in Oakbrook Terrace and donate to help hungry kids at a preview party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22. For a recommended $5 donation, receive an entree and regular soft drink. All donations go to benefit Dine Out for No Kid Hungry. Signature Qdoba entrees include the Mexican gumbo, the ancho chile barbecue burrito and the chicken queso burrito. The store opens Monday, Sept. 24. Pinstripes rolls into Oakbrook Center Mall

Get ready to bowl and play bocce at Pinstripes' fourth location, which opens in Oak Brook Saturday, Sept. 22. The 40,000-square-foot venue includes 16 bowling lanes, six indoor and four outdoor bocce courts, two outdoor fire pits and a bistro and bar. Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, menu highlights include $10 bottomless chopped salad and spaghetti on Mondays and $4 burgers while bowling or playing bocce on Tuesdays.
