BG Singers celebrate 20 years with anniversary concert

The 75-member adult chorus, the BG Singers, will perform a 20-year anniversary concert, “Platinum,” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, in the Stevenson High School Performing Arts Center, One Stevenson Drive, Lincolnshire. Songs for this special show were selected by polling audiences and the Singers to find out their all-time favorites. Directed by Linda Rosen and choreographed by Charla Silver, “Platinum” will feature popular rock hits such as “Don’t Stop Believin” and “Lean on Me”; Broadway medleys from “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “Jersey Boys”; and familiar hits by the Beatles and Elton John.
