Sheriff's deputies say Elburn woman was found near vehicle

Kane County Sheriff's Department deputies do not expect foul play as they continue to investigate circumstances surrounding a woman found dead Wednesday morning north of Kaneland High School.

Authorities were called at about 7:30 a.m. to investigate a vehicle that was pulled over on Meredith Road north of Keslinger Road in Kaneville Township.

Deputies found the body of a 57-year-old Elburn woman near the vehicle, authorities said Wednesday afternoon.

Sheriff's Lt. Pat Gengler said the initial investigation does not indicate any suspicion of foul play, adding that the cause of death will not be available until an autopsy is conducted by the Kane County Coroner's office Thursday.
