Lions Club scholarship winner

The Lake Villa Township Lions Club has announced Adam Gerdes as the recipient of its $1,000 college scholarship for 2012. Adam is the son of Neal and Sarah Gerdes from Lake Villa and is a 2012 graduate of Grant Community High School. He plans to study finance and law at the University of Illinois this fall. While a student at Grant, he devoted himself to athletics and extra curricular activities. He believes “Involvement in the community is a huge part of my life that I wish to continue into college.” The Lake Villa Township Lions Club Annual Scholarship is open to all high school seniors who are residents of Lake Villa Township.
