Students, teachers, architects invited to ‘Designing Your Future’ at Judson

Submitted by Judson University

Judson University will host a presentation by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards titled “Designing Your Future” from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4.

Due to significant interest in this presentation, the venue has changed from the Harm A. Weber Academic Center to the Thulin Performance Hall in the Edward and Alice Thompson Fine Arts Center, 1151 N. State St., Elgin. This event is free and open to the public.

Nick Serfass, assistant director of the Intern Development Program at NCARB, will lead the presentation on the NCARB Intern Development Program and some of the changes coming this spring with the implementation of IDP 2.0.

Serfass will address topics such as the entities involved in architectural licensure, how to progress successfully through IDP, the value of the NCARB Certificate, and recent changes to NCARB programs. He also will give a brief overview of the Architect Registration Examination. Students, instructors, intern architects, and local member architects of the American Institute of Architects are invited to attend.
