Mackenzie Buchelt belted two homers, one a grand slam, and drove in 5 runs to lead the host Lions (2-0). Kristin Holub also homered. Melanie Early (1-0) struck out 11 in a 1-hit shutout.

Jessica Conenna went 4-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI to pace a 15-hit attack, earning the Knights freshman her first varsity win. Conenna (1-1) struck out five and allowed zero earned runs. Maria Kieliszewski went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI, Jocelyn Sanchez was 2-for-4, Gabby Curran 2-for-4 and Katelyn Conenna doubled and drove in 2 runs for IC (1-2).

Alyssa Ciepley and Dana Fritz combined on a 1-hitter, and Nicole Susmarski slugged a 2-run homer for the Bison (1-1). Taylor Pugliese went 2-for-3 and scored 2 runs.
