Elgin
• A 1997 Dodge Ram pickup truck was egged sometime between 6 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday while it was parked in the 100 block of Pauline Drive, according to police reports. There was paint damage on the hood, roof, driver’s side doors and bed rails from the eggs, reports said.
• The catalytic converter of a 1998 GMC Suburban was stolen sometime between Saturday and Monday while it was parked in the 1900 block of Holmes Road, according to police reports. There was also damage to the fuel line, reports said.
• An Elgin woman’s identity was used to open DIRECTV accounts in Elgin and Chicago, according to police reports. She received a bill for services on Monday, reports said.
Algonquin
• Samantha J. Marlatt, 21, of the 7000 block of Mason Hill Road in McHenry, was taken into custody shortly before 5:30 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Stonegate Road and Carlisle Street and later charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police. She is next due in court Feb. 29 in Algonquin.
