Police said a white male, reportedly about 55-years-old with a medium build, tried to get the child to get into the van so he could "show her a puppy," authorities said.

The child left and informed parents of the situation, officials said.

The van driver is reported to have short, white hair that is balding in the back, was wearing a "Five O'Clock" shadow, and wearing a white or light colored T-shirt.

The van was a navy blue Ford Econoline or Chevy Express type work Van with tinted windows.
