Young adult author at Stevenson:
Young adult fiction author Ellen Hopkins is making her only Midwest stop at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24 at the Stevenson High School west auditorium in Lincolnshire. Hopkins will speak at the free event, which will be followed by a reception and book signing. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited to 400 and registration is required. Hopkins' novels deal with difficult subjects: drug addiction, physical and sexual abuse, teen suicide, coming out, questioning faith, teen pregnancy, and other issues that are part of 21st century life for teens.
