Dining events: Morton's pairs dinner with fine cigars

It's a cigar dinner — a meal under the stars at Morton's The Steakhouse in Schaumburg paired with fine cigars from the Habana Cigar House. The evening starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, and the meal includes an appetizer of colossal shrimp cocktail, an iceberg wedge salad, a 12-ounce New York Strip and a twice baked potato with carrot cake for dessert. $175 per person.

Live and dine
Viper Alley now offers an intimate boutique concert experience partnered with fine dining. Catch Sha Na Na at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16. Dine at a candlelit table and then enjoy the show from the same table. Entree items include a roast Scottish salmon with quinoa or the filet mignon with Marsala-glazed mushrooms.

Wines at Agio
Napa Valley's Girard Wines meets a seasonal four-course dinner at Agio Italian Bistro on Wednesday, Sept. 21. A reception begins at 6:30 p.m. with passed canapes and paired wine followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The dinner menu includes cold lobster salad, braised boneless short ribs and more. Wines will include Girard chardonnay 2009 and Girard sauvignon blanc 2008. $80 per person.
