Woodland bullying presentation

Woodland Middle School will host a presentation on bullying for all parents at 7 p.m. Sept. 12 in the school’s learning resource center, 7000 Washington St., Gurnee.

The discussion will be led by author Doug Wilhelm and representatives from the Warren Township’s teen center and Woodland Elementary District 50’s school resource officer, Jim McDermott. Wilhelm penned “The Revealers,” a popular teen novel about bullying in middle school.

He will also speak with students about his novel during the school day. His presentation is sponsored by the Woodland Middle School ROAR (Respect, Ownership, Acceptance, Being Ready to Learn) committee. For information, contact Sean Murphy or Bill Schufreider at (847) 856-3400.
