Des Plaines celebrates new park

On Saturday, Aug. 27, the Des Plaines Park District celebrated the grand opening of Kylemore Greens Park with friends and families of the neighborhood.

Des Plaines Park Board President Jana Bishop Haas cut the ribbon on the new park sign, and Executive Director John Hecker welcomed everyone to their newly redesigned park.

Children and families enjoyed light refreshments, a basketball skills game on the new half court, free play on the ADA compliant playground equipment, a craft and family Frisbee fun in the park’s open space.

Kylemore Greens Park is at Kylemore and Catlow drives, northeast of Wolf and Central roads.
