Aaron Jackson, a senior at Grayslake Central High School, recently was selected to the Illinois State Board of Education's State Advisory Council for the 2011-12 academic year. Jackson is one of 15 members of the council and he will work alongside the State Board of Education providing a perspective that only a student can offer, Grayslake High School District 127 officials said. Jackson went through a lengthy application process and then a telephone interview before being selected for this group.
