Ron Hawking will host BACOA’s ‘Aged to Perfection’

Singer Ron Hawking will headline an evening of wine, food and entertainment at “Aged to Perfection: An Evening of Note to Support BACOA,” the Barrington Area Council on Aging’s 16th annual wine tasting.

The event will be held from 6:30 to 10 p.m., Friday, Sept. 16 at the Chicago Marriott Northwest, 4800 Hoffman Blvd., Hoffman Estates.

Guests may sample more than 50 wines — provided by Barrington’s Wine Discount Center — while enjoying a buffet supper and bidding on an array of live and silent auction items. The main raffle item is the Wagon of Wine, two cases of wine specially selected by Wine Discount Center.

Favorite wine selections will be available for purchase and BACOA will receive a percentage of the sales generated by wine purchases.

Tickets are $90 per person before Sept. 1; $100 after.

Proceeds benefit BACOA’s services and programs for seniors and caregivers. These include Meals with Wheels, information and resources on aging-related issues, social and recreational programs for seniors, services for family caregivers, support and education groups.

The event is sponsored by Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital; Alden Estates of Barrington; PricewaterhouseCoopers; and The Garlands of Barrington. Harris Bank is the entertainment sponsor.
