Free Golf Tips from a Pro series

Golf Center Des Plaines will host four free golf clinics with the purchase of a short game pass July 19, 26, 28, and Aug. 4 at 353 N. River Road.

Eric Pick will present Green Side Bunkers Tuesday, July 19, and Chipping Tips Tuesday, July 26, from noon to 12:30 p.m.

GolfTEC will present Sand Shots July 28, and Pitching and Chipping Tips Aug. 4, from noon to 1 p.m. The short game pass is $6 per day and allows unlimited play, with in and out privileges all day.

Golf Center Des Plaines also has a lighted, Rick Jacobson designed, nine-hole golf course; a three-tiered, 80-bay, lighted range with an automated tee-up system; and more than 300 yards of outdoor landing area, a grass tee practice area, golfTEC lessons, a pro shop and a sports bar and restaurant.

On Monday, range balls are 6 cents each, and golfers receive an extra $5 in range balls with every $50 purchase.
