Geneva

• Between 6 p.m. May 10 and 7 p.m. May 13, someone stole a propane tank and a grill brush out of the backyard at a house in the 700 block of Edison Avenue, police said.

• Linda L. Ahlgren received a ticket Sunday charging her with theft under $50, according to a police report. She is accused of stealing a pack of Pooch absorbent pads around 11:15 a.m. at PetSmart, 1512 S. Randall Road. Ahlgren, 57, lives in the 2400 block of Big Woods Drive, Batavia.

• About 24 bottles of Fat Tire, Stella Artois and Corona beer and a pack of cigarettes were stolen between 6 p.m. Saturday and 12:45 a.m. Sunday out of a garage in the 700 block of McKinley Avenue, police said.

• Between 11 p.m. Saturday and 9:50 a.m. Sunday someone damaged a wooden fence, likely by climbing over it, at a house in the 600 block of Willow Lane, police said.

• Derek D. Larsen, 18, of the 1N100 block of LaFox Road, LaFox, was given a ticket charging him with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, at 12:20 a.m. Sunday in the 0-99 block of Richards Street, according to a police report.

Kane County

• Someone destroyed a $300 mailbox in the 7N300 block of Whispering Trail near St. Charles between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. May 13, reports said.

• A laptop computer, GPS device and iPod were stolen between 3:20 and 4:50 a.m. May 11 from an unlocked car in the 35W000 block of Chillem Drive near Batavia, police said.

• Someone stole a snowblower, tiller and power washer from the 43W500 block of Thornapple Tree Road near Sugar Grove between 8 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
