New Grayslake North wrestling, cheer coaches

Grayslake North High School has hired two new head coaches for the 2011-12 academic year. Ryan West has been named as the new head varsity wrestling coach for next season. He comes to Grayslake North from Yorkville High School, where he has been varsity assistant wrestling coach for the past five years. He’ll work in the life-fitness teaching department. West replaces Grayslake North life-fitness instructor and head boys varsity wrestling coach Tom Frye, who resigned for unknown reasons in March. Two other Grayslake North wrestling coaches and teachers, John Glorioso and Erik Jensen, are resigning effective at the end of the academic year for unspecified reasons. Jenny Garza has been named as the new head varsity cheerleading coach for the winter season.
