Ÿ America's first Children's Poet Laureate Jack Prelutsky will be on hand for a DuPage Symphony Orchestra family event beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Pfeiffer Hall at North Central College, 310 E. Benton Ave., Naperville. The DuPage Symphony Orchestra will perform Camille Saint-Saens' “Carnival of the Animals,” along with Prelutsky's reading of his new accompanying narration of the piece. Following the symphony event, Prelutsky will be on hand for a reception at 5 p.m. at Anderson's Bookshop at 123 E. Jefferson Ave., Naperville. The reception features poetry readings, conversation, entertainment and snacks. Anderson's Bookshop welcomes only patrons who purchase a combined concert/bookshop event ticket for $15 per child or $30 per adult.
