Two Stevenson students earn Perfect ACT scores

Two Stevenson High School students earned perfect scores on the ACT college-entrance exam given on February 11.

Karen Gao, a junior from Long Grove, and Tianlu Wang, a sophomore from Lake Zurich, each scored a 36 composite score.

According to the ACT, less than one-tenth of 1 percent of students who take the exam receives a perfect score. Last year, only 588 students nationwide earned a score of 36 out of nearly 1.6 million who took the exam.
