Four candidates seek election to Dist. 2 board

Four candidates have filed for election to the Board of Education. Three incumbents and one newcomer are seeking election to the four open seats in the April 5 election.

Patty Reyes, Cindee Hazen, Jorge Sanchez and newcomer Bob Laudadio will appear on the ballot.

Patty Reyes is currently board president and has been a board member since 2002. She was board secretary from 2005 to 2007 and has been board president since 2007.

Jorge Sanchez is currently the board treasurer and has been a board member since 2008.

Cindee Hazen was appointed to the board in January 2010 to fill the seat of Craig Weldon, who passed away in December 2009.

Bob Laudadio is seeking a seat for the first time.

Kathy Lane, who has served on the board since 1991, is not seeking re-election.
