Glad Hurlbut opposes mining

I congratulate my opponent for a Kane County Board seat, Cathy Hurlbut, and wish her well during the next two years. I was particularly pleased to see she has declared her opposition to gravel mining at the Brunner Forest Preserve. The next two years will be a crucial time for this issue. It is great to see she has listened to the people in her district and promised to oppose it.

Congratulations, again. It is a new day, and we will see what the future brings.
