Two sunglass cases, a cell phone charger and earbuds for an iPod were stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in the 2000 block of Kane, it was reported at 9:06 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

A Blackberry Pearl cell phone was stolen at Sam's Club, 501 N. Randall Road, it was reported at 3:07 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Two pairs of sunglasses, one pair of reading glasses, a Winchester toolbox and a flannel pack were stolen out of two unlocked vehicles in the 200 block of Laurel Street, it was reported at 6:44 a.m. Monday, police said.

A radar detector was stolen out of a vehicle in the 400 block of Whipple, it was reported at 2:30 p.m. Monday, police said.

Sydney Carlson, 21, of the 1900 block of Walnut Street in Ottawa, was charged with theft at 3:28 p.m. Monday, according to a police report. She is accused of stealing perfume, makeup and clothing from Kohl's, 251 N. Randall Road.

• An Insignia 19-inch LCD flat-screen television set was stolen in the 300 block of Ozier Drive, it was reported at 6:27 p.m. Monday, police said.

Geneva

Rikki Provost, 18, of the 0-99 block of North 15th Street, St. Charles, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:25 p.m. Oct. 2, according to a police report. She was also given tickets for driving while her license was suspended or revoked, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Someone gouged three sides of a Chevrolet 3500 HD pickup truck, including writing and epithet, between 5 p.m. Saturday and 12:20 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Willow Lane.

A burglar broke a 3-by-3-foot glass panel on a door, and activated a door alarm and one in the kitchen at 3:37 p.m. Friday at Wendy's, 200 N. Kirk Road, police said. Nothing was reported taken.

Two women are suspected of stealing $1,940 of unspecified cosmetic products from Ulta, 1560 S. Randall Road, at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, police said. Store security saw them putting items in their purses, then leaving in separate cars.

A gray Pioneer Avic D1 DVD player and navigation system was stolen out of a vehicle in the 1900 block of Fargo Boulevard between 10:30 p.m. Oct. 7 and 10:20 a.m. Friday, police said.

A Tiffany and Co. Elsa Peretti "Open Heart sterling silver heart-shaped pendant, with a diamond, was stolen out of a guest's room between 11 a.m. Sept. 5 and 1 a.m. Sept. 6 at the Herrington Inn, 15 S. River Lane. The theft was reported to police Friday. The pendant was on a 16-inch chain.

A black iPhone 3G was stolen out of a docking station on a table behind a teacher's desk between 9:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 5 at Geneva Middle School North, 1357 Viking Drive, police said. The teacher had been in and out of the classroom throughout the day.

A Garmin GPS device was stolen between midnight Oct. 7 and 7 a.m. Friday out of a vehicle in the 700 block of Edison Street, police said.

Kane County

Gregory T. Cheatham, 24, of the 0-99 block of Dorchester Court, Sugar Grove, was arrested at 11:11 p.m. Friday on charges of cannabis possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. According to a police report, Cheatham was questioned by police after officers found his Pontiac Grand Am parked along Seavey Road, about one mile west of Bliss Road, near Elburn. Police said they smelled a strong odor of cannabis emitting from the vehicle and later found 5.1 grams of marijuana, a pipe and a grinder under the driver's seat.

Several tools were reported stolen Sunday from a garage on the 3N400 block of Route 47, near Elburn, police said.

A light blue, 10-speed Schwinn bicycle was reported stolen Sunday from a yard the 38W100 block of Tanglewood Drive, Batavia Township, police said. The loss was estimated at $200.

Someone rummaged through an unlocked 2007 BMW parked on the 38W200 block of Tanglewood Drive, Batavia Township, according to a police report filed Sunday.

A white metal mailbox valued at $450 was reported damaged Friday on the 7N100 block of Whispering Trail, near St. Charles, police said.

Four mailboxes were reported damaged Friday on the 0N700 block of Dauberman Road, near Maple Park, police said.
