  • Cook County property tax appeal workshops coming Aug 11, 2013 5:52 PM
    A free property tax workshop for residents of Wheeling Township will be held on Monday, Aug. 12, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Chevy Chase Country Club at 1000 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Wheeling. A second workshop, this one for Elk Grove Township and conducted by Dan Patlak of the Cook County Board of Review, will be held Wednesday, Aug. 21, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Elk Grove Township Office, 2400 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.

    Wheeling Township Senior & Disability Services partnered with Riley Elementary School SPIN (Supporting People in Need) on an intergenerational program, which provided seasonal art projects prepared by the fourth and fifth grade Riley students who are members of SPIN. These handmade projects were delivered by volunteers to the homebound residents receiving Meals On Wheels from Wheeling Township.
