    Libertyville High School band director Jeffrey Daeschler has been fired for having an “inappropriate physical relationship” with a female student, then 18, District 128 officials announced Tuesday. “The weight and the validity of the evidence clearly led to the conclusion we drew and I’ll have to leave it at that,” Superintendent Prentiss Lea said at a meeting for parents.

The Libertyville village board tabled a resolution that would have put an advisory question on the April 9 ballot, after project supporters said a better course would be to wait a year and present voters with a binding question.
