    The points didn’t come early, but they sure came often for Fenton in their final home game of the season. The Bison rolled Friday night against Elmwood Park winning 48-13. Fenton’s offense started off sluggish, punting on their first possession and fumbling on their second. The turnover led to a touchdown pass from Paul Mika to Eddia Amparan. AFter the missed extra point the Tigers were up 6-0, but that would be their last lead of the game.

    Ravaged by double-digit graduation, the girls soccer team at Leyden continues to suffer from growing pains here in the early going. The Eagles (1-3-0) fell 2-0 Monday night at home to a quality Class 2A squad from Elmwood Park, allowing both goals in a first half which saw the hosts enjoy the run of play for most of the first 40 minutes. That gave hope to coach Rob Fowler, who saw continued progress despite the defeat.
