Kilmer Park in Buffalo Grove to be rebuilt Jun 27, 2012 12:00 AM
The Buffalo Grove Park District plans to spend $788,000 next year to rebuild Kilmer Park after getting a state grant to cover half that cost. "We are very excited about receiving this grant, which will enable us to dramatically improve Kilmer Park," the district's executive director, Dan Schimmel, said in a news release.

BG Park District taking rain barrel orders Feb 21, 2012 12:00 AM
The Buffalo Grove Park District Environmental Action Team is currently taking orders for rain barrels and composters, which will be available for pickup on Saturday, April 7 from 8-11 a.m. at Mike Rylko Community Park. These 55 gallon barrels come is variety of colors and cost $60 each. Each barrel comes with a spigot, is insect resistant and easy to install. Accessories are also available.

The winning chorus, Encore!, had named the Foundation as its charity of choice for a $20,000 prize. "From the bottom of my heart," Scott Bauer writes, "thank you for all of your support."
