Splash into swim lessons this summer

Prepare for a safe summer pool season with Schaumburg Park District.

Summer is a great time to register for swim lessons. Group and individual lessons are available for ages 6 months to adult at Bock Pool, 1223 W. Sharon Lane, Meineke Pool, 220 E. Weathersfield Way and The Water Works, 505 N. Springinsguth Road.

"Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children ages 1 to 5," said Heather Hagstrom, aquatics supervisor for the District. "The best prevention is swim lessons. Children will not only learn the fundamentals of swimming but also the safety behaviors to make sure they may still have fun and be safe."

Swim lesson options include:

• Tiny Tot Swim

• Teen/Adult Swim Lessons

• SPD Swim School

• Youth Individual Lessons

• Swim Team Start/Turn Clinic

• Diving Lessons
