Alzheimer's Association to offer 'Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body'

The Alzheimer's Association Illinois Chapter will offer the educational program, "Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body: Tips from the Latest Research," at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, at White Oaks, 1300 Spring St. in South Elgin.

A light dinner will be served from 5 to 6 p.m.

For centuries, it has been understood that the health of the brain and the body are connected. But now, science is able to provide insights into how to optimize your physical and cognitive health as you age.

Learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging.

Program specialist Brittany Mabry will present and take questions following the program.
