Executive Chef Joins Staff at Bridges of Poplar Creek
The Hoffman Estates Park District is pleased to welcome Executive Chef Eric McBride to its premier banquet center and championship 18-hole golf course, Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club (BPCCC) located at 1400 Poplar Creek Drive in Hoffman Estates.
McBride comes to BPCCC with an impressive background as executive chef for the past three years at the Hyatt Regency Deerfield. Prior to this, he resided in Orlando, Florida where he worked as an award-winning Executive Sous Chef for two years at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, and 11 years as Chef de Cuisine for the hotel's Hemingway's Restaurant.
BPCCC specializes in weddings, golf outings, banquets and special events. The facility also includes the full-service Tap Inn Bar & Grill. McBride will be responsible for the coordination, purchasing, production and preparation of all food service items for all areas including the Poplar Banquet Room (up to 250 guests), Fairway Banquet Room (up to 100 guests), outside event area (up to 200 guests), Tap Inn Bar & Grill, and Half Way House.
McBride said what he likes most about his job is "having the opportunity to exceed our guests' expectations by creating dishes that delight and intrigue while using fresh seasonal ingredients."
"We've been working on some new menu ideas for our bar and grill and catering facilities," he said. "I look forward to modernizing our menus, utilizing seasonal ingredients and having the opportunity to wow our clientele with our signature Beef and bacon sliders, tangy fried pickles and other culinary creations we are currently working on."
