New year, new senior outings

Seniors, get ready for an exciting year of eats and entertainment with the Schaumburg Park District.

Luncheons, presented by Schaumburg Bank & Trust, take place each month at the Senior Center at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road.

Luncheons include Motown, Mardi Gras and St. Pat's.

Day trips for 2018 include Four Winds Casino, Blackhawks, Windy City Bulls and Chicago Wolves games and shows at the Lyric Opera.

"Our luncheons and day trips are a fun way for seniors to get out of the house and socialize," said Lisa Perrone, senior supervisor for the District. "Seniors enjoy the closeness of the luncheons at the CRC and the day trips attending sporting events or theatre performances in Chicago."

Upcoming luncheons and day trip dates:

• Chicago Blackhawks Games, 4-11 p.m., Jan. 22 and March 13

• Motown Luncheon, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Jan. 25

• Chicago Wolves Game, 4:30-11:30 p.m., Feb.3

• Windy City Bulls Game, 5:30-11 p.m., Feb. 7

• Mari Gras Luncheon, 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Feb. 8

• Fireside presents Newsies, 8:00 a.m.-6 p.m., March 7

• Four Winds Casino, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., March 8

• St. Pat's Luncheon, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., March 15

• Lyric Opera presents Faust, 10 .a.m-7 p.m., March 21

All trips leave from the Senior Center. Schaumburg residency is not required.
