Calvary Episcopal Church hosts community Thanksgiving events

Calvary Episcopal Church, 222 S. Batavia Ave. in Batavia, will host two community Thanksgiving events this month, including a traditional Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving Day. Both events are open to the public.

Calvalry will host the Batavia Ministerial Association's Community Thanksgiving Worship Service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21.

Worship will be followed by refreshments and conversation. The offering will benefit the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry. The public is invited; no advance sign-up required.

On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, Calvary will celebrate the Holy Eucharist at 10:30 a.m. A traditional Thanksgiving dinner will be served at noon. The dinner is free and open to the public.

Those interested in attending are asked to call the office, (630) 879-3378, by Monday, Nov. 20, to sign up in advance if possible.

Those attending may bring a dish to share if they wish, but this is not required.
