Roselle District 12 Schools hold Their Annual McTeacher's Night

Spring Hills Elementary and Roselle Middle School of District 12 in Roselle held their annual McTeacher's Night on Tuesday, October 24th at the Roselle McDonald's on Irving Park Rd.

A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers and staff work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales back to the local school.

On October 24th, the restaurant was taken over by teachers and staff members from Spring Hills Elementary and Roselle Middle School excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families to raise money for the school.

Many teachers and staff worked from the school including Spring Hills Elementary Principal Lew Girmscheid and Roselle Middle School Principal Kathleen Schneiter. The McTeacher's jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, making ice cream cones, selling apple pies and even dressing up as an apple pie.

A Special thank you goes to teacher Mr. Engle and Principal Girmscheid who volunteered to dress up as an apple pie while families donated funds for their own delicious pie! Thank you to PTO Representative, Jillian Jalowiec who organized the event. As well as all the teachers, staff, and PTO Members who worked at this event while the families enjoyed a nice evening.
