Five Marcus Theatres in the Greater Chicago area will offer free kids' parties and a "Superfan" showing to celebrate the opening weekend of the new, animated "My Little Pony: The Movie" film.

Free Kids' Parties:

Join us Saturday, October 7 and Sunday,October 8 anytime between 10 a.m. and noon face painting, horse-shoe toss, pony-and rainbow-inspired crafts, free snacks and more!

Stay for the movie! Rated PG. Admission sold separately. First moviegoers will also receive a commemorative certificate!

"My Little Pony: The Movie:" When a dark force threatens Ponyville, the Mane 6 embark on an unforgettable journey beyond Equestria where they meet new friends and exciting challenges on a quest to use the magic of friendship to save their home.

"Superfan" Showing:

Make your "My Little Pony: The Movie" outing extra special with tickets to the "Superfan" showing on Saturday, October 7 at 11:30 a.m. Along with seeing the movie, you'll receive a My Little Pony toy, activity book and mini poster to keep memories of the colorful ponies alive long after the credits roll.
