Friends of Lords Park Zoo to host annual benefit Oct. 15
Join Friends of Lords Park Zoo for its seventh annual benefit from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at the Art Space, 40 DuPage St. in Elgin. Catered by Cuisine America, wine, beer and soft drinks are included.
There will be music by Fernando Hernandez, with silent auction items and ticket drawings.
There were over 11,000 visitors in 2017 and nearly 30 free educational programs were sponsored in partnership with the Elgin Public Museum, Gail Borden Library and Elgin Historical Society. In 2018, programming will expand to include art and music.
Tickets are $35 per person; cash, checks and credit cards accepted at the door.
