Glenview Office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group Partners with the Northfield Township Food Pantry and Project Linus During Company-Wide Week of Kindness
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group, in conjuction with the KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation, holds an annual company-wide Week of Kindness in June during which close to 500 Realtors® from 24 of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group offices volunteer time and services to organizations in their respective communities. The Glenview office, located at 2630 Valor Drive in The Glen, chose once again to collect food staples and necessities for the Northfield Food Pantry and to create blankets for Project Linus.
The Northfield Township Food Pantry's mission is to assist those residents who are unable to provide enough food for themselves and their families. The Glenview office collected more than 50 items for the Pantry. For Project Linus, the Glenview office agents created 21 blankets to meet the organization's mission of providing love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need of handmade blankets and afghans.
"We are proud to collect food and necessities for the Northfield Food Pantry to assist people right here in our community," said Michael Mazzei, Regional Vice President and Managing Broker of the Glenview office. He continued, "We have also made Project Linus blankets for the past few years and it's an activity that is near and dear to our hearts. Recently, we found out that a mother and father real estate team in our office received a Linus Project blanket for their child when he was born and placed in the NICU. So, we know first-hand how much a blanket can mean at such a difficult time."
