NAMI to host monthly coffee July 8

The National Alliance on Mental Illness for Kane-south, DeKalb, & Kendall Counties sponsors a monthly coffee from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at Advocate Medical Group (Dreyer), 2285 Sequoia Drive, Aurora, IL 60506.

Two topics will be presented. "Self- Injury" presented by psychologist Dr. Kristy Funasaki, Ph.D, and "Can't vs Won't-Challenging Behaviors and Interventions," presented by Linda Benton, a licensed clinical social worker.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

The public is welcome to attend this free monthly coffee held on the second Saturday of the month from 9 to 11 a.m. Join them for coffee and light refreshments to learn more about what NAMI KDK offers in mental health education, advocacy, and support for families and individuals living with mental health issues.
