Palatine Library Collecting Care Kit Supplies

Palatine Library is collecting care kit supplies for JOURNEYS, Thursday, June 1 through Thursday, July 6. JOURNEYS | The Road Home is a nonprofit agency that provides shelter, social services, and housing to the homeless, and those at risk of becoming homeless in 37 towns in North/Northwest suburban Cook County.

The following items are needed: First-aid supplies, socks, bottles of water, snacks, travel-size toiletries, sunblock, lip balm, etc. Bring your items to the Main Library lobby and we will deliver the care kits to JOURNEYS. For more information, visit www.journeystheroadhome.org.

Help us show kindness to those in need by volunteering for Care Kit Creation on Thursday, July 6, from 3-5 p.m. Drop in to make uplifting cards and to help assemble care kits for JOURNEYS' clients/guests. Learn more about JOURNEYS through a brief presentation at the beginning of the program. All supplies provided.
