A section of Liberty Street in Wauconda was closed for about four hours Tuesday after a disguised man delivered a package to Wauconda Community Bank with a note claiming that a bomb was inside and instructions on where to leave money or the bomb would be detonated, police said.

Calling the $4.1 million price tag a real-estate bargain, the Lake County Forest Preserve District board on Tuesday approved the purchase of a Libertyville office building that will serve as its future headquarters, and eventually as the home of the Lake County Discovery Museum.
