Police, FBI searching for West Dundee bank robber

Authorities are searching for a man they said robbed a West Dundee bank Tuesday evening.

The robbery occurred about 6:30 p.m. at TCF Bank, 1250 W. Main St., West Dundee police said in a Facebook post. When officers arrived, the suspect had fled the area with cash. Nobody was injured.

The FBI believes the man is also responsible for a robbery just before 7 p.m. Monday at a TCF Bank in Schaumburg. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to his arrest.

The suspect is described as a 35- to 45-year-old white man, about 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds, according to the FBI. He had light beard growth and wore a dark blue knit cap, glasses with rectangle-shaped lenses and gold frames, a gray hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, blue jeans and white gym shoes.
