Authorities are searching for a man they said robbed a West Dundee bank Tuesday evening.
The robbery occurred about 6:30 p.m. at TCF Bank, 1250 W. Main St., West Dundee police said in a Facebook post. When officers arrived, the suspect had fled the area with cash. Nobody was injured.
The FBI believes the man is also responsible for a robbery just before 7 p.m. Monday at a TCF Bank in Schaumburg. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
The suspect is described as a 35- to 45-year-old white man, about 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds, according to the FBI. He had light beard growth and wore a dark blue knit cap, glasses with rectangle-shaped lenses and gold frames, a gray hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, blue jeans and white gym shoes.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the West Dundee police department's investigation division at (847) 551-3810 or the FBI's Chicago Field Office at (312) 421-6700.
