Streamwood Summer Celebration begins

Streamwood's three-day Summer Celebration got under way Friday at Hoosier Grove Park with the late-afternoon opening of the carnival and an evening performance by Beatles tribute band American English.

The event resumes Saturday when the parade steps off at 10:30 a.m. at Bartlett Road and Streamwood Boulevard before proceeding west toward the festival grounds.

The band 7th heaven will perform from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, and ARRA will be the headline act from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
