If the Army Corp of Engineers doesn't fully address the Asian carp infestation of the Great Lakes, a $6 billion water recreation industry will be lost. Thousands of small businesses will be shuttered. Small businesses are the foundation of the economy, supplying the bulk of jobs. This should be a nonpartisan problem. Yet the party that champions the battle against Asian carp will be saving the incomes of millions of registered voters. Whatever political entity is the current impetus behind the Army Corp of Engineers, please get on the stick.
