Gourmet grilled cheese concept expands to Northbrook Court

A new restaurant featuring gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, New England clam chowder soup and authentic BBQ opened at Northbrook Court.

The new temporary pop up restaurant, expected to be open through February, developed from a growing mobile food truck concept.

FOMO Cafe, located on the upper level at Northbrook Court, opened last week. FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) Café features a variety of concepts under the Toasty Cheese Restaurant Group umbrella.

The new eatery will feature favorites from the Toasty Cheese Mobile Eatery established since first hitting the road in Schaumburg. Greg Barnhart is the owner of the growing concept.

The bright food truck has become known for artisan grilled cheese sandwiches filled with ingredients ranging from duck bacon, cilantro-avocado aioli and Sicilian cherry tomatoes to applewood smoked bacon, apple/cabbage slaw and over easy eggs.

Barnhart established the Toasty Cheese Restaurant Group and, in May 2017, launched Toasty Taco, a taqueria móvil that serves authentic street tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas and tamales.

Like Toasty Cheese, dishes and snacks from Toasty Taco's chef-drive menu feature both classic fare and modern interpretations. Barnhart's mobile food empire recently grew yet again with the acquisition of Best Truckin' BBQ, (which specializes in classic American barbecue with a twist) and The Crave Bar, an artisan ice cream brand known for their sweet & salty treats that combine rich, premium ice cream with gourmet pretzels. All food concepts under the Toasty Cheese Restaurant Group umbrella are available for corporate catering, private parties, holiday festivities and other social events.
