Shamrock scramble promises greentastic good time

Clovers are taking over the newly renovated Bock Neighborhood Center during Schaumburg Park District's Shamrock Scramble.

Open to children ages 1 to 6, the St. Patrick's Day-themed event is set for 1 to 2 p.m., March 12, at Bock, 1223 W. Sharon Lane. Activities include making crafts and going on a shamrock scavenger hunt. Each shamrock will contain a special treat.

"Shamrock Scramble is a great way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day," said Kathleen Benson, Bock manager. "Children will learn about the holiday while playing games and winning prizes."

Cost is $5 per child for residents and $7 per child for non-residents. Registration is recommended by March 10.
