Glenview's Dr. Kevin McCune to head American Medical Group Association Foundation board of directors
Glenview resident, Kevin McCune, M.D., has been appointed Chair of the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) Foundation Board of Directors. Dr. McCune is the Chief Medical Officer of Advocate Medical Group, the largest physician group in Illinois.
The AMGA Foundation supports the AMGA, a trade association representing medical groups, health systems, and other organized systems of care. AMGA promotes awareness of medical groups' excellence in delivering coordinated, high-quality, cost-effective care.
Dr. McCune and the AMGA Foundation's Board of Directors enable AMGA member medical groups and other organized health care systems to consistently improve effectiveness and efficiency. The AMGA Foundation's initiatives allow sharing of practices based on measurable data from members, enabling groups to provide the best care possible.
As Chief Medical Officer of Advocate Medical Group, Dr. McCune promotes excellent clinical outcomes from administration to direct patient care. Prior to this role, he was medical director at Advocate Lutheran General Health Partners and served as a board member to Advocate Medical Group, Advocate Physician Partners, Advocate Hospice, and Advocate Lutheran General Health Plan. Dr. McCune also has more than 20 years of clinical experience, including extensive experience in hospice and palliative care.
