Dunham Counseling offers Variety of Psychological Therapies and Techniques in New Naperville Office

Jeff Lucas, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor and Certified Group Psychotherapist has announced the opening of Dunham Counseling's new office at 616 W. Fifth Avenue Suite B in Naperville. The practice is comprised of experienced therapists who are focused on individual, couples and family psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy to address marriage problems and family and relationship stresses; emotional issues such as depression, anxiety and trauma; life changes and drug and alcohol abuse. In additional to traditional therapeutic approaches, Dunham offers a number of integrative evidence-based approaches including visualization, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Brainwave Optimization™, a neuro-relaxation technique, and holistic mind/body counseling. Dunham Counseling also offers optional faith-based counseling, including Christian and Muslim-based counseling.

"We all have the potential for happiness, fulfillment, and more satisfying relationships. Therapy can help people get in touch with their deepest feelings in a non-judgmental manner," says Lucas. "We offer hope and unconditional acceptance as we help our clients discover and practice the skills to release that potential."

Dunham Counseling has had success integrating behavioral therapies with natural, non-invasive physiological approaches. "The brain is the central control," explains Lucas. "We have the potential to address neurological and neuro-psychological obstacles and help people achieve improved mood, calmness, better sleep, better focus, greater self confidence. Brainwave imbalances caused by disorders or medications can often benefit. The National Institute for Mental Health recognizes the positive outcomes we seek to provide for our clients: peace, happiness and self-esteem." Dunham Counseling also has an office in St. Charles.
